Cologne is a popular destination for tourists. Last but not least because of the great cathedral, the beautiful christmas markets, busy shopping streets, the wide and balanced gastronomy and beer gardens, and a variety of different hotels.
The E-Werk is located in the district of Cologne-Mühlheim in the media center Cologne-East (www.medienzentrum-ost.de). This media center is nowadays a well-established name in the media business of Cologne. Over the years many industrial buildings around the E-Werk have been remodelled for office use and film production companies.
Right behind the E-Werk, Bonito TV produces the “Harald Schmidt Show” since 1998. Since January 2005 Bonito TV is producing the Show in cooperation with Kogel&Schmidt GmbH for SAT 1.
On the Schanzenstrasse some industrial halls have been altered into film studios for the Brainpool TV GmbH. Stars like Stefan Raab, Anke Engelke, Bastian Pastewka, Christoph Maria Herbst, Axel Stein and Cindy aus Marzahn have been in front of Brainpools cameras. „TV Total“, „Schlag den Raab“, „Unser Star für Oslo“, „Pastewka“, „Ladykracher“, „Fröhliche Weihnachten“, „Stromberg“ and „Dr. Psycho“, „Die Bülent Ceylan Show“, and „ Die Wochenschow“ are just a few successful Brainpool productions.
